We're looking for volunteers to support our regular weekly sessions at Blakeney Youth Club.

Volunteering is a really great way to get to know your community better and to make friends. You can get valuable experience working with children and young people and have the opportunity to make a measurable impact as there are currently very few activities and services targeted at young people in Blakeney.

Volunteers will be helping to support a community asset which has the potential to significantly improve the mental and social well being of children in Blakeney. It is an exciting time to join the organisation as a new committee of trustees with fresh enthusiasm to re-establish the club’s place in the village after the difficult years of the pandemic.

Volunteers would need:

• Desire to work with and improve the lives of local young people.

• Good organisational skills and timekeeping.

• Skills such as cooking, gardening, sports, DIY or any other life or work skills and hobbies that can be used to educate children and introduce them to new things.

You do not need any previous experience. We would love to hear from interested volunteers from any background, age or walk of life. All necessary training is provided. Volunteers will be subject to safeguarding and background checks.

Frequency: Initially once per week with a view to increase to twice per week. The sessions are 2 hours long with 30 minutes at beginning and end for set up and close so total of 3 hours per session.

You do not need to be available every week, workload can be shared and distributed between volunteers. If you can commit to a session every couple of weeks that would be great!
